I have greatly enjoyed my time as Sable Plume Pursuivant (Kingdom Scribe) for Artemisia, but it is now time to allow someone else to serve in this
office. I have met many talented and generous people through this office, and have enjoyed my time in this position.
Sable Plume Pursuivant is a minor Kingdom office, a Deputy to the Kingdom Golden Wing Herald. Sable Plume is in charge of the backlog of scrolls,
assigning these scrolls to be done. Sable Plume maintains a listing of scribes within the Kingdom who are willing and able to help, whether it be
with backlogged scrolls or current assignments. Sable Plume updates and maintains the Artemisia Scribe’s Handbook as necessary, which is something
I have been slowly working on, and am still working on now. In addition to these duties, Sable Plume is also responsible for acting as a resource for
local scribes and fostering the scribal arts within the kingdom.
To help this office run as smoothly as possbile, the applicant should be someone who is interested and at least somewhat active in the scribal arts, organized
and wants to step up and be more involved. Access to a computer is a plus and email has been very helpful, but is not necessary as long as people can contact you via phone. This is not a huge time consuming office, although it can be whatever the person makes of it.
Although I plan to step down as Sable Plume, I plan to remain active in the great scribal community this Kingdom has to offer. I will be available as a resource for the new Sable Plume, as well as many other resources that are available.
