Pray heed! The Shire of Otherhill has garnered yet one more year in its quest to remain the oldest shire in the fair Kingdom of Artemisia!!!!
We therefore invite all brave souls to travel to the easternmost marches.
Here you will face crowds of young erstwhile Rednecks as they gather in our fair shire for what is being billed as the WORLD’s GREATEST RODEO!!
Amidst all of the babbling and bubbling throng the desert city of Rock Springs is hosting its annual International Days with bands offering music from all over the world (usually ending the day with a really good Celtic Rock Band!), BEER merchants, FOOD merchants and in a corner of the park:
THE SCA REPRESENTED BY THE SHIRE OF OTHERHILL!!!!!
Yes, it is time again for another demo! This was our most successful event last year and we hope to have a greater turnout this year inspite of the 1000’s of young cowboys!
While the mundane go about eating sausages, burgers and more whilst drinking a wide variety of beer, the Shire of Otherhill will display our costumes, our arts, and our research materials.
We will also share the field with Native American dancers and between their performances we will have demonstrations of fighting skills. And as a new Shire Defender is sorely needed to protect us from the foul molestations of the direful Kingdom of the Outlands we shall also be having a Defender Tourney.
There will be scores of merchants selling all manner of victuals and BEER may (and MUST) be purchased from the International Days Beer Wagon. Our Shire will also be hosting a small bake sale with a LARGE birthday cake and a small assortment of medieval style pasties and pastries (A slice of cake or other items will be sold for $1 and used to cover the event fee for the shire and as a donation for the Kingdom Travel Fund.

Parking will likely be sparse so call or email me if you decide to come and I will give you my cell and guide you in so we can unload your car and suggest places to park. We will have signage at the small parking area.
FEES: NOTHING! We will be having a bake sale with proceeds to cover the event and the rest to the Kingdom Travel Fund! However BRING money, as there are loads of mundane merchants with food, drinks and items.
